What is semi-permanent makeup?
Semi-permanent makeup is a treatment that can give you a ready-made up look without the hassle of applying makeup.
Semi-permanent makeup is sometimes referred to as micropigmentation or cosmetic tattooing and involves injecting tiny amounts of pigment into the dermal layers of your skin. It can save you hours in front of the mirror in the morning applying your eyeliner, lip liner or filling in your eyebrows.
“People don’t want to spend more than 5-10 minutes applying make-up especially pencilling and powdering! Semi-permanent make-up can look so natural and saves you time on a daily basis,” .
Naomi Baronti, Owner of The Little Parlour
The actual treatment itself is quick and practically painless and will give you a perfectly natural made-up look. The organic pigments that we use in our treatments, give a semi-permanent ‘natural’ look and clients do not need to think about the next treatment for 12 to 18 months.
What treatments do we offer?
EyebrowsMicro-blading will be a term that you are familiar with however there is also powder brows technique, which you might not be.
Micro-blading is a hair stroke simulation look using a manual blade; the blade is dipped in the semi-permanent pigment and applied directly to the eyebrow area. Powdered eyebrows are created using a nano needle (attached to a tattoo gun) to lightly shade the top surface of the skin to achieve a subtle, soft, natural powdered look.
Lips and full colour
Our most popular treatment is where we replace a lip’s lost border. Doing just this, can give a more youthful appearance and gives the illusion of a fuller pout without injections.
Many of our clients love the semi-permanent lip treatments as it creates a beautiful blush and adds definition. With any lip treatment there will be some tenderness afterwards but aftercare is minimal and we provide our clients with antiseptic cream to apply regularly.
We’ve all been there when we smudge or smear eyeliner as we get ready for a night out on the town!
This will be a thing of the past with semi-permanent eyeliner and it will provide a bright and defined eye makeup helping create a fresh and youthful appearance. Our semi-permanent eyeliner makes your lashes look thicker and your eyes more defined.
How long does semi-permanent makeup last?
All clients will need a completion visit six to eight weeks after their initial application of pigment to adjust the shape, colour and density of their treatment. We would then recommend returning to the clinic once a year for maintenance, often reffered to as an ‘annual top-up’.
